Jeannie has a wealth of experience in the health and fitness industry. Over the last 6 years Jeannie has designed exercise and well-being programmes for a wide range of clients with widely contrasting goals. Jeannie is currently in her fourth and final year at the highly acclaimed BCNH and is a licensed practitioner of nutrition. Jeannie believes that combining exercise with a good nutritional understanding can help you achieve a superior level of well-being.
Why you should exercise
- Not exercising increases your chances of dying from a heart attack
- Exercise can help manage conditions such as stress and depression
- It helps control your weight and prevent obesity
- Regular exercise helps posture and digestion
- Helps improve energy levels and sleep
- You will also meet other people and have fun
How much should you exercise
You should try to do 30 minutes of exercise a day. This doesn't have to be running or going to the gym there are lots of ways you can fit exercise into your day, make it part of your routine:
- Walk to work instead of using a car or public transport
- Break up your day with a walk at lunchtime
- Walk to the shops
- Exercise with your children, play in the local park
- Don't drive your child to school walk with them
Suggested Types of Exercise
- Cycling 70% of all car journeys are less than 5 miles, so cycle for fun or cycle as part of your daily routine. Be aware of the dangers from traffic and pollution.

- Running and JoggingThe beauty of running is that you can take it at your own pace from jogging to sprinting and you will benefit your heart and lungs. Motivate yourself to run regularly by training for something specific such as a local 5k run. Running Events
